This homeowner was worried about their floors buckling and cupping. After contacting several contractors, it came down to an issue with crawl space moisture. The team at Olympic Restoration Systems was contacted to help. 

After removing debris and regrading, our team installed a SmartSump to remove ground water. Using CleanSpace drainage matting and CleanSpace vapor barrier, we encapsulated the crawl space, protecting the home from water and vapor. A dehumidifier was installed to control the humidity. A homeowner in McKinney had a plumbing leak in their upstairs bathroom. The leak was fixed but along the downstairs bathroom, there was water damage and what looked suspiciously like mold. They called in the team at Olympic Restoration Systems to help. 

We began by setting up a containment unit and negative air fans. The sheetrock and organic materials affected were removed. The area was cleaned with an EPA registered antimicrobial solution and HEPA vacuumed.

A tenant noticed their ceiling sagging and dripping water. The cause was discovered to the be HVAC system. After the system was repaired, a mold inspection was given, verifying the presence of mold. Our team came in to help. We built containment barriers around the affected areas along with negative air scrubbers. After removing all the damaged organic materials, a HEPA vacuum was used along with an EPA registered anti-microbial spray. The HVAC ducts, boots, and air registers were also cleaned. They then HEPA vacuumed and had an antimicrobial solution applied to them.

This customer had a sump pump that was placed in a flower bed that had quit working. She described that there is now nothing but a hole and yard debris where the current sump pump had been in the yard. She had standing water and mosquitoes were now gathering at that spot in the yard. She wanted to know if the motor needed to be replaced, or just the whole sump pump just needed to be replaced.

When this customer called Olympic Restoration Systems, they were looking to update the insulation that they had in their attic. Per the customer, they have a pretty small house and some pretty high utility bills. Her husband had been doing some work in the attic and mentioned that he thought that they needed to get more insulation so that it would help to lower their utility bills.

Olympic Restoration Systems was contacted for an assessment of their attic space. We visited the property and proposed a quote to the customer. They proceeded with insulation installation in the attic for their home, with Olympic Restoration Systems.

We capped the existing blown insulation with TruSoft™ cellulose. We added 7 inches of cellulose insulation to existing insulation to provide a combined R-value of 49. We installed a TiteShell™ Recessed Light Fixture Cover. We installed over the top of a can light and sealed it with ZypFoam polyurethane foam around all edges and any holes that had been made for their electrical wires. We installed 7 more can light covers and sealed around them, throughout the attiec, to prevent the air flow up from the interior of the house as well as to protect the recessed lighting from over-heating. We upgraded the existing attic insulation in this customers attic to the needed level.

This is an apartment complex that had radon testing completed. They were in need of a radon mitigation system in a couple of buildings. They were under a deadline and needed to get the radon mitigation systems installed soon.

A pressure field extension test to assure adequate air flow under the slab was included. We installed an active soil depressurization system in all the required units. We routed them through the interior of a 2-story building. We installed a Fan Moisture Guard and rodent cap for Radon System. The exhaust pipe was routed up through the ceiling of the first unit, then through the 2nd floor (unit) and into the attic. The fan was installed in the attic and the exhaust was routed out the roof.
