Disaster Recovery Services in the Denton Area

Olympic Restoration Systems provides professional disaster restoration and cleaning services for residential, commercial, and municipal clients in TX. Disasters such as fires, floods, and wind storms can leave debris and damage that may compromise a bulding’s health. Though these events may be unpredictable, you can keep us in mind for dependable recovery after the fact. We offer the following disaster recovery services:

  • Emergency water cleanup
  • Fire damage restoration
  • Indoor humidity control
  • Water removal

Moisture that is left unchecked can cause structural damage and problems with mold. Poor indoor air quality has been conclusively linked to lower work productivity, absenteeism, lost tenants, compliance penalties, lawsuits, and worker's compensation claims. Don’t hesitate — call us for thorough, professional disaster recovery services in your neighborhod.

In addition to long-term humidity control, we offer thorough mold removal for commercial and residential properties in Denton, TX. We remove any visible mold in addition to employing deeper removal methods that prevent regrowth. To keep moisture levels down and maintain a drier environment, we install the super effective Aspen Air Purifier that covers up to 1,500 sq. feet. Unlike other air purifiers, the Aspen does not emit ozone and only improves your indoor air quality. With easy-change-filters and the ability to remove over 99.97% of particles from the air, the Aspen is right for you.

Effective Radon Gas Mitigation

Radon is the leading cause of lung cancer among non-smokers and is in every U.S. state, including TX. Radon is odorless, invisible, and impossible to detect without specialized equipment. Radon is also not limited to basements — we can find elevated radon levels in rooms as high as the second story. Fortunately, Olympic Restoration Systems is Denton’s qualified radon mitigation company, offering radon testing, radon mitigation, and other indoor air quality solutions.

If you’ve never had your home tested for radon, then you should schedule a test as soon as possible. Different factors can impact radon levels in the home, including the source of the radon, how many floors are in the home, whether you keep your windows open often, and the stack effect. We can explain all of these factors to you and install a radon mitigation system that is compatible with the current waterproofing system in your basement or crawl space.

Job Stories From Denton, TX
Crawl Space Encapsulation & Dehumidifier in Denton, TX

Customer contacted Olympic Restoration Systems due to high moisture content in their crawl space, either from rain or ground water, and cupping floors.  A wet crawl space can lead to mold growth, warping hardwood floors inside the home, musty odors, and increased allergies and asthma while in the home. We sent one of our crawl space experts, Darrin, to the home for a free inspection and estimate. Darrin found many issues that caused moisture in the crawl space, including groundwater seepage and open crawl space vents. Darrin designed a solution to keep the crawl space dry, which included installing drainage matting, sump pump, vapor barrier, and dehumidifier. This allows for the vents to be closed, and turns the crawl space into a conditioned area. The homeowner was pleased with the solution and pricing and proceeded with a full crawl space encapsulation system from Olympic Restoration Systems.

Wet Crawl Space in Denton, TX

Crawl Space Mold in Denton, TX

This customer called stating that he believed his crawl space was leading to multiple moisture issues throughout his home. He found mold on his ceiling and on his leather clothing, and he was running a dehumidifier constantly to no avail. We sent one of our System Designs Specialists, Tyler, to the property for a free estimate. After inspecting the crawl space, Tyler found further evidence of crawl space moisture issues. Tyler presented a solution to encapsulate and condition the crawl space so that there would not be any more moisture issues. The homeowner accepted and proceeded with a crawl space remediation from Olympic Restoration Systems.

The production team started by removing debris from the crawl space and regrading the soil. This keeps water from pooling in low points of the crawl space floor. They sloped the soil so that water would flow to the sump pump. Next, they placed a SmartSump to drain water away from the crawl space. They then placed drainage matting underneath a CleanSpace vapor barrier on the crawl space floor to isolate the home from the earth. The drainage matting allows water to flow to the sump pump. The vapor barrier protects the crawl space and home from any moisture collecting in the sump pump. They closed off any outside air, from vents or any other opening, to keep the outside air from entering the crawl space. Finally, they placed a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier in the crawl space to dry any moisture from the air.

Attic Insulation in Denton, TX

This customer called wanting a quote for blown in cellulose attic insulation in Denton, TX. We sent one of our System Designs Specialists, Tyler, to the home for a free estimate. Upon inspection, Tyler found that the attic had sparse existing attic insulation that did not cover all areas of the attic. The thin layer of existing insulation was not sufficient to keep the attic properly insulated. He proposed a solution to the homeowner, which included adding blown in TruSoft cellulose insulation to the existing attic insulation. The homeowner accepted the proposal, and our production team went and completed the attic insulation installation.

Mold from Hard Rains

After hard rains began seeping into this home, these homeowners noticed mold growing. They contacted our team to help. We set up a containment area and removed all affected organic materials. We then removed the mold using an EPA registered anti-microbial, and HEPA vacuum, leaving these homeowners with a healthier home environment.

Dehumidifiers and humidity

These homeowners were trying to protect their home by running several large dehumidifiers but they seemed to be working around the clock. Deciding it was time to stop the humidity issue by encapsulating their crawl space, they contacted our team to help. We installed a CleanSpace encapsulation system along with a sump pump drainage system, helping these homeowners stop the humidity issue from the ground up.

Mold Remediation Denton, Texas

This house had mold in the bathroom, and the living room. The mold was everywhere in these two rooms due to a substantial water leak from the roof around the chimney. The roof was repaired first, before performing any mold remediation.

We removed all sheet rock in the rooms and sanded down the studs and all framing members. The affected area is then hand wiped with an anti-microbial solution. We used a HEPA vacuum before and after the affected rooms were cleaned. The home was then tested and certified as mold-free.

Work Requests From Denton, TX
Project Location: Denton, TX
We had vinyl plank flooring installed about a year ago. Very soon after, we started to feel the flooring settling while we were walking on it. The installers were adamant that it was 'normal'. Turns out it wasn't. Floorboards began to warp and reveal mildew underneath. We haven't been down in the crawlspace, but my guess is that it is poorly insulated and that condensation buildup has now turned the subfloor into absolute pudding. We'd love to have someone out to look at it. Thank you so much!
