These photos are from a mold remediation job completed in Irving, TX by Olympic Restoration Systems. We were contacted after a homeowner had mold growth confirmed by a licensed mold inspector and needed a licensed mold remediation company. Our Production Team was able to safely and efficiently remove the mold-damaged drywall, insulation, and flooring from her home. In the pictures, you can see where they set up containment and used HEPA vacuums to ensure that mold and other pollutants did not circulate throughout the home during the mold removal process.
*If you think there is mold in your home, the first step is to contact a licensed mold inspector. Per state law, the licensed mold inspector and licensed mold remediation company must be separate entities. This is a protection for the homeowner. If mold growth is confirmed by a mold inspector, you should be given a mold protocol. The next step is to send this protocol to Olympic Restoration Systems so that you can receive a licensed mold remediation estimate.
This homeowner was referred to us by previous customers who were pleased with our work in their crawl space. He wanted to find a way to improve energy efficiency in his home, keep the hardwood floors insulated, and get rid of the insect infestation coming from his crawl space. One of our System Designs Specialists, Ross, performed a free crawl space inspection and estimate and found that the current insulation was falling and that there was a moisture issue in the crawl space that was attracting insects. Ross designed a crawl space encapsulation system specific to this home, and the homeowner accepted the proposal. Our Production Team then installed a crawl space drainage matting, moisture barrier, sump pump, and dehumidifier. This system also involved closing off all outside air into the crawl space, which insulated the crawl space from the outdoor elements. The homeowner was so pleased with the results that he left a 5-star review on the Olympic Restoration Systems website.
This homeowner had a licensed mold inspector confirm mold growth in her kitchen, and the inspector provided her with a mold protocol to give to a licensed mold remediator. She sent the protocol to Olympic Restoration Systems, and one of our Mold Specialists, Ross, analyzed the protocol and inspected her home. He then presented the homeowner with an estimate for mold remediation in her kitchen. She accepted, and our Production Team completed the mold remediation.
This homeowner had a crawl space encapsulation system installed by a different company 14 years ago. This system failed after a large rain, when he found standing water and mud throughout the crawl space. There was also potential mold growth on the wood subfloor of the home. When he called the company who installed the system for a crawl space repair, they told him to call Olympic Restoration Systems. We sent one of our System Designs Specialists, Ross, to the property for a free crawl space repair quote. Ross performed a crawl space inspection, and presented the homeowner with a solution to his crawl space problems. The homeowner accepted the proposal, and we sent our Production Team to repair the crawl space.
Our Production Team completed the crawl space repair, which included removing the damaged parts of the existing liner, installing a Smart Sump sump pump, replacing and retaping the moisture barrier, installing two SaniDry Sedona dehumidifiers, and cleaning the wood beams with Mold-X.
Our team was called after a multi family facility in Irving, TX had confirmation of mold in the facility by a licensed mold tester. Olympic Restoration Systems has multiple licensed mold remediators within our team, and we sent our first available, Ross, for a free mold remediation estimate. After receiving the mold protocol and assessing the property, Ross gave the owner a free mold removal quote. The homeowner accepted, and Olympic Restoration Systems began the mold remediation process.
Our production team completed the mold remediation, which included setting up containment, placing air scrubbers, HEPA vaccuuming, and removing moldy drywall, flooring, and cabinets, and wiping down surfaces with an EPA approved antimicrobial disinfectant solution per the mold protocol.
Water leaks in this crawl space created several areas of standing water and very high humidity. Concerned with the mold risk and impact on the home, the homeowners contacted our team.
We installed EZ Flow pipes connecting to two SmartSump pump systems. We also installed the CleanSpace crawl space encapsulation system to help with moisture drainage and to seal out humidity from the soil. Finally, we installed three SaniDry Sedona dehumidifiers.
During a master bathroom remodel, these homeowners discovered mold growth. They contacted us to help. First, we set up a containment area, with negative air scrubbers. We removed the affected materials, using an EPA registered antimicrobial and HEPA vacuum to remove the mold. These homeowners can now finish their remodel without worrying about mold.
After speaking to his neighbor who had our system, this homeowner became concerned about humidity issues in his crawl space and contacted our team to evaluate. Our specialist discovered high humidity in the crawl space and recommended encapsulation. First, we removed the debris and regraded the crawl space. A sump pump was installed, along with a dehumidifier. Two wireless sensors were placed to send temperature and humidity readings to a small panel inside the house. Next, CleanSpace Drainage matting was installed and a CleanSpace liner was placed on top. Silverglo insulation was fastened along the inside perimeter of the entire crawl space. Afterward, the vents were closed to ensure no more moisture or condensation were allowed to penetrate the crawl space.
These homeowners prepared for a complete floor remodel due to their buckling and cupping floors. The owners decided encapsulation was the best way to protect their new flooring.
First, our team re-graded the crawl space. Next, we installed an EZ flow pipe around the perimeter of the crawl space to capture incoming water and direct it to the sump pump. Afterward, we installed a SmartSump pump system with liner, cast iron pump, CleanPump Stand, airtight lid with an airtight floor drain and WaterWatch alarm system. CleanSpace drainage matting and a CleanSpace vapor barrier were placed along the ground, walls, and piers.
