Job Stories From Johnson County, TX
Mold Remediation in South Dallas

A couple moved into a new home. They began noticing an odd smell. Concerned about the leak in the ice maker on the fridge, they had a mold inspection. It was discovered that a leak was occurring behind the fridge, causing mold growths in the cabinets and adjoining room. Our team was contacted to remediate. We first set up a containment area with negative air fans. We then treated the affected materials that remained with MoldX stain remover, and then treated it a second time with MoldX Botantical disinfectant. All exposed cavities were HEPA vacuumed, leaving this home mold free.

HVAC Duct Cleaning and Mold Removal from Ducts in Grandview, TX

This customer comes to us as a referral from one of our many satisfied customers. They were in the middle of doing some renovations. During that process, the found that they had an issue with their HVAC. There was an odd smell that they just couldn’t seem to get rid of, no matter what they did. They wanted to have the duct work thoroughly cleaned.

Olympic Restoration Systems was contacted for an assessment of their home. We visited the property and proposed a quote to the customer. They proceeded with an HVAC duct cleaning.

We removed the air registers and cleaned them with an EPA register antimicrobial solution. We cleaned the ducts using a negative air system combined with compressed air whips to break the mold and debris free from the duct. With this type of air duct cleaning, each duct is attached to a powerful negative air machine which draws 3500 cubic feet per minute through the duct and into the system. The system has three stages of filters with the last one being a HEPA filter which assures nothing is released into the home. With the negative air machine running small lines were pushed through the ducts. The lines have small rubber whips on the end and the 175-psi compressor, which sits outside the house during the process, forcing air through the whips. The whips move around very quickly to break up the dust, dirt, and spores free from the duct. The air registers were replaced at the completion of the duct cleaning.
