This customer noticed on their vents upstairs and in their bedroom, what she believed to be mold. They have 4 HVAC units for their home. The customer thought that she knew which of the 2 units were causing the apparent mold. She had their air conditioning company come out and change the filters and to check the systems. They also had attic blankets installed earlier this year. Due to the humid summer that we had in 2019, she believes that they may also be part of the problem.
Olympic Restoration Systems was contacted for an assessment of their home. We visited the property and proposed a quote to the customer. They proceeded with the duct cleaning with Olympic Restoration Systems for their home.

This homeowner called looking for a solution to his cold hardwood floors, and because he was concerned that his HVAC system was running more often than it should. He suspected that the crawl space was the issue. We sent one of our System Designs Specialists, Ross, to the home for a free crawl space inspection and estimate. Ross found evidence of moisture issues and a lack of insulation in the crawl space. He proposed a crawl space encapsulation system that involved closing off all outside air to the crawl space, and installing a drainage matting, vapor barrier, sump pump, and dehumidifier. This would turn the crawl space into a conditioned area, which would insulate the area and prevent moisture issues. The homeowner was pleased with the proposal and proceeded with the work from Olympic Restoration Systems.

Water leaks in this basement prevented the homeowners from utilizing the space, so we were called to seal the leaks and remove the water. We decided to install a two-stage waterproofing system including a DryTrac waterproofing baseboard and relief drain complete with a SmartSump pumping system to seal the leaking seam and pump out the water.
Moisture leaks, open soil, and poor drainage led to standing water and significant mold growth throughout this crawl space. The mold and humidity can be harmful to the air quality within the home, so we wanted to ensure the crawl space was left completely overhauled.
We installed a CleanSpace crawl space encapsulation system as well as a dehumidifier to dry up the air. We also applied Mold-X2 Cleaner and Botanical to the areas affected with mold.
After noticing a persistent musty smell, these homeowners called wanting to check their crawl space for humidity. Our team discovered high humidity, condensation along the subfloor, and some areas of where water collects after a rain.
First our team added a pump to remove the standing water in the crawl space and then added the CleanSpace encapsulation system and drainage matting to block the humidity from the ground. Next, we regraded the dirt in the crawl space to send water from the dehumidifier to the pump.
When this homeowner discovered he couldn't get a warranty on his new wood floors unless he had a vapor barrier installed, he contacted our company for an estimate. When we discovered high humidity levels and standing water in his crawl space, he opted for encapsulation to protect the future of his home and flooring.
Using a CleanSpace vapor barrier, SaniDry dehumidifier, and sump pump, we separated the home from the earthen floor, leaving this homeowner satisfied that his new floors were safe.
After moving from a home with an encapsulated crawl space, this couple became concerned about the dampness below their new pier and beam home. Knowing what kinds of problems humidity can cause, they called us to encapsulate.

After a period of heavy rainfall, these homeowners noticed their brand new wood floors cupping and buckling. They called the flooring company who suggested they have their crawl space humidity checked. Our specialist found a damp crawl space with high humidity and condensation on the sub-floor. They decided to encapsulate.
Our team installed a CleanSpace drainage mat, CleanSpace vapor barrier, sump pump, and dehumidifier. A panel was placed inside the house so the owners could monitor the humidity at all times, ensuring it wouldn't further damage their floors.
After researching, this homeowner thought his cupping floors might be caused by his crawl space. Our specialist evaluated the situation, discovering high humidity and standing water in the crawl space. We decided encapsulation was the best solution. Using a sump pump, trench drain, and CleanSpace durable liner, we were able to lower the humidity levels, saving this customer from further damage to his floors.
This homeowner noticed mold behind their kitchen cabinets during a remodel. Our team was contacted and we immediately went to work.
We first set up a containment area with negative air fans. We then treated the affected materials that remained with MoldX stain remover, and then treated it a second time with MoldX Botantical disinfectant. All exposed cavities were HEPA vacuumed, leaving this home mold free and the remodeling work back in service.
