Challenge
These homeowners were concerned about their crawl space's humidity when their wood floors began to buckle. They called us in to inspect their crawl space and we found high humidity as well as substantial mold growth. We knew lowering the humidity and removing the mold would help with their buckling floors.
Solution
To prevent mold spores from entering the house through wopenings in the floor boards, we first set up an air mover to filter and move the mold spores from the air and out of the space. Another way we limit the amoutn of mold spores filling the air is by hand scrubbing the mold from the crawl space beams. Once the mold was scrubbed away, we applied an EPA registered antimicrobial solution to all the affected areas to fully clean and prevent future mold growth.
