Challenge
When the plumbing in this house was updated, the homeowners discovered their crawl space was full of debris, standing water, and most concerningly, major mold growth. They worried about the effect the mold would have on the air quality in their home so they called our team in to eradicate the problem.
Solution
After removing the debris, we installed a SmartSump pump system to remove the standing water. Next, we removed the molded wood that was not load bearing and we cleaned the rest with Mold-X2 Cleaner and Botanical to remove the mold and stains while eliminating odor and preventing future growth. Next, we installed the CleanSpace crawl space drainage matting to cover the surface area of the space and create a barrier between the air of the crawl space and the moisture from the ground. Finally, we installed a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier to ensure the space stays dry and mold free.
