Challenge
This basement had water leakage along the perimeter where the floor and wall meet. This was leading to mildew buildup and worried the homeowners about storing anything here. They called us to inspect and waterproof the area.
Solution
After evaluating the water leaks, we needed to cut into the bottom foot of the wall and the edge of the flooring to waterproof at the source. We installed a SmartSump pump system at the crack where the floor and wall meet to capture the water and direct it away with the pump. We then installed a DryTrak baseboard water control system, sealed in with a urethane resin that reacts with water to fill in the gap and prevent any future water leaks.
