Basement Waterproofing Case Studies: Waterproofing in Fort Worth

Challenge
This historic downtown building had erosion and was in need of restoration, particularly on its outdoor stairway. Our team understood the integrity of the building design needed to be respected as we prepared the eroded stairs to be covered by new brick.
Solution
We were called in to waterproof the stairway and the area around it to prevent from further erosion. Once the eroded bricks had been removed, we prepared the surface of the stairs to ensure the waterproofing product could fully penetrate the concrete. Then, we applied Liquid Rubber Base along the seam where the stairs meet the wall and filled in any cracks on the wall where there had been water seepage. Finally, we sealed the stairs with Permaflex to prevent further water intrusion.
