This customer called stating that the hardwood floors in his home were cupping, and he was concerned that it was stemming from a moisture issue in his crawl space. He was also concerned because there had previously been an issue with rodents in the crawl space. We sent one of our System Designs Specialists, Tyler, to the property with his first available appointment.
After assessing the crawl space, Tyler found evidence of moisture issues. He proposed a solution for encapsulating the crawl space to the homeowner, and the owner accepted. We then sent our production team to the property and they completed the crawl space repair, which included drainage matting, a CleanSpace vapor barrier, a SmartSump sump pump, and a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier.
This customer called stating that there was a lot of dry dust coming into her house from the crawl space. No matter how much she cleaned, she kept having issues with dust. We sent one of our System Designs Specialists, Ross, to the home for a free crawl space estimate. Ross assessed the crawl space and found that the dust in her home was clearly coming from the crawl space, which was very dry. He proposed a solution to encapsulating the crawl space so that dust would not come into her home, and would prevent mold issues from the crawl space if it rains. The homeowner accepted and proceeded with the crawl space repair with Olympic Restoration Systems.
The homeowner wanted to resolve issues with moisture and flooding in the Crawl Space, as well as prevent future problems by ensuring proper drainage. Our team at Olympic Restoration had just the right solution, installing a Crawl Space Encapsulation System, and directing the drainage out of the Crawl Space.
The experts installed a sump pump, which is specifically designed to keep crawl spaces free from flooding and alleviate any water that gets in. The team then encapsulated the space with a CleanSpace liner over drainage matting, providing the area an added barrier to keep moisture and humidity low. A dehumidifier was installed in the crawl space to control the moisture levels, along with two wireless sensors which send constant temperature and humidity readings to a digital display inside the house. With all of this being done, we were able to assure the owners that there were no more moisture issues, and there would no longer be any problems.
