This homeowner called because he was tired of the floors of his pier and beam home being cold, and he felt like his HVAC system was constantly running. He wondered if there was a solution for his crawl space that would keep his entire home at a more comfortable temperature. We sent one of our System Designs Specialists, Ross, to the home for a free crawl space repair estimate. Ross inspected the crawl space and offered the homeowner a solution. The homeowner accepted the proposal and proceeded with a full crawl space encapsulation system that would insulate his crawl space from Olympic Restoration Systems. This system included a drainage matting, vapor barrier, sump pump, and dehumifier.
This customer called Olympic Restoration Systems for assistance at one of their rental properties. The tenants contacted them informing them that they had some mold growth in the home's kitchen. Mold was detected and we were called for the remediation for the customer and tenants. We removed all debris from the crawl space. We installed two SmartSump pump systems with two liners, two cast iron pumps, two CleanPump stands, with two airtight lids, two airtight floor drains and a WaterWatch alarm system. We installed two UltraSump battery back-up pumping systems with a charging/control box that had an alarm and a 120-amp sealed maintenance-free battery. We installed an EZ Flow Pipe to capture the incoming water and direct it to the sump pump. We installed a CleanSpace crawl space encapsulation system. We installed a CleanSpace Drainage Matting under the CleanSpace liner. We installed two SaniDry Sedona dehumidifiers to keep the humidity low. We installed two small pumps to move the water from the dehumidifiers to the sump pumps or out of the crawl space. We installed two wireless sensors in the crawl space, which will send the temperature and the humidity readings to a small panel inside the house. A separate dedicated circuit/outlet for the sump pump and for the dehumidifier were installed. We installed an EverLast Door.
