Challenge
Moisture leaks, open soil, and poor drainage led to standing water and significant mold growth throughout this crawl space. The mold and humidity were a threat to air quality i the home and could also lead to buckling floors if not addressed quickly. Our team decided to overhaul this crawl space and eliminate these dangers.
Solution
First, we installed an EZ Flow piping around the perimeter of the crawl space and a SmartSump pump system to capture the standing water and send it out of the crawl space. Next, we installed a CleanSpace crawl space encapsulation system as well as a dehumidifer to create a drier environment. Finally, we applied Mold-X2 Cleaner and Botanical to the areas of wood where mold was spreading to clean away the mold and prevent it from growing back.
