This customer was wanting something to resolve the water issues that they were having in their basement. They always had standing water on the floor of the basement. The walls had moisture and condensation, all the time, enough that there would be water running down the walls. If the walls did dry up some, there were water marks left that stained the walls. They had a sump pump in their basement, but they felt that was ineffective for anything, except for draining, once there was enough water to be pumped out. If they left anything on the floor, there was so much moisture, that there were rust rings left on the floor. They had their home heating/air system, and their water heater in the basement, and there was rust beginning to appear on the systems. They had them sitting on elevated wooden platforms. The wooden platforms had water damage to them. There was also a very musty odor in the basement.
Olympic Restoration Systems was contacted for an assessment of their basement. We visited the property and proposed a quote to the customer. They proceeded with basement waterproofing and a sump pump for their home.
This homeowner contacted Olympic Restoration Systems for a free basement waterproofing estimate in Denison, TX. He wanted to convert his basement into a workout room but was having issues with water leaking in through the walls. He already had a sump pump in place, but it was not sufficiently pumping out the moisture in the basement. One of our System Designs Specialists, Ross, created a custom solution for the homeowner that included sealing the basement floors and walls with PermaFlex and installing a TripleSafe sump pump. The homeowner was pleased with the proposal and proceeded with the work from Olympic Restoration Systems.
This homeowner called after he recently purchased a home in Van Alstyne, TX with a wet basement. He was not concerned with converting the basement to a living space, but he wanted to find a solution to keep the basement dry. When one of our System Designs Specialists, Ross, performed a free basement inspection and waterproofing estimate, he found many cracks in the foundation and walls that would allow water to come in. He also found an old, insufficient sump pump that was not able to keep up with the amount of moisture coming into the basement. Ross proposed a solution to the homeowner that included installing a WaterGuard track along the perimeter of the basement, lining the walls with a CleanSpace vapor barrier, installing a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier, and replacing the old sump pump with a SmartSump sump pump. The homeowner was pleased with the estimate and proceeded with basement waterproofing from Olympic Restoration Systems.
This customer called Olympic Restoration Systems for assistance regarding their crawl space entries. They have a pier and beam home that has a crawlspace entry, inside the home, that was too small for anyone to get through. They were interested in getting that crawl space entry made larger for them. They have 2 access points to the crawl space. One of them had just a metal slab up against the entry way. They wanted to turn that into a nicer entrance so that rodents do not get under their house.
Olympic Restoration Systems was contacted for an assessment of their home. We visited the property and proposed a quote to the customer. They proceeded with a crawl space hatch enlargement and debris removal from their crawl space.
